Syed Mukarram Niyaz is a Hyderabad-based engineer, web developer, writer, editor and publisher whose professional interests bring together engineering, technology, multilingual publishing and digital media.

A Civil Engineering graduate (1985–89 batch) from Muffakham Jah College of Engineering & Technology, affiliated to Osmania University, he serves as a Deputy Executive Engineer in the Roads & Buildings Department, Government of Telangana.

Web Design & Digital Development

Alongside his professional engineering career, Mukarram Niyaz developed a sustained interest in computers, website development, digital publishing and online information systems. This eventually led to the establishment of Taemeer Web Design & Development, a registered partnership firm based in Hyderabad.

His web development work combines technical implementation with a strong understanding of content structure, usability and multilingual communication. Particular areas of interest include WordPress development, Blogger customization, responsive web design, structured information systems, digital publishing platforms and search-friendly content architecture.

Multilingual & RTL Expertise

A distinctive area of his work is the development and management of multilingual websites, particularly those involving Urdu and Arabic Right-to-Left (RTL) layouts.

His experience with Unicode-based publishing has helped bridge traditional Urdu literary content with modern web technologies. His own published works include fiction and writings relating to Hyderabad Deccan, literature, society and cultural memory. His literary work has also received recognition from Urdu literary and cultural institutions.

His engineering background continues to influence his approach to web development: understanding a requirement, organizing information logically, solving practical problems and building systems that remain useful over time.

The Telangana Engineering Colleges Directory is a particularly clear example of this approach. The platform organizes complex admission and institutional data relating to more than 180 engineering colleges into searchable and student-friendly information.
